Filters cards based on their Card Name.
The "Castable In" field filters cards so that you only see cards you can cast in the provided colors. This means hybrid cards can be in either color, Phyrexian is available to any color, while Colorless (such as Thought-Knot Seer) needs to be specifically selected.
Filters cards based on their legality in a format (standard, modern, exemplar, legacy, pauper, commander, and vintage are supported).
Card types are the ones that appear to the left of the dash in the type line, such as "Creature" or "Artifact."
Card subtypes are the ones that appear to the right of the dash in the type line, such as "Goblin" or "Equipment." Note, the Changeling ability counts all creature types, so they will be included when you search for a creature type.
CMC stands for Converted Mana Cost, and it means the total amount of mana you need to spend to normally cast a spell. X is treated as 0 when calculating this sum, and Phyrexian mana counts as 1. Two-hybrid mana (such as in Spectral Procession) adds two to the total. You can also use "pow" to compare to power, "tou" for toughness, and "loy" for loyalty.
Filters creatures based on their Power. *s count as 0, and abilities that add +1/+1 counters onto the creature are not counted, so Arcbound Ravager would count as a 0/0. You can also use "tou" to compare to its toughness, and "cmc" for converted mana cost.
Filters creatures based on their Toughness. *s count as 0, and abilities that add +1/+1 counters onto the creature are not counted, so Arcbound Ravager would count as a 0/0. You can also use "pow" to compare to its power, and "cmc" for converted mana cost.
Filters planeswalkers based on their starting Loyalty. X counts as 0. You can also use "cmc" to compare to its converted mana cost.
Keywords are ingame markers for abilities that are so common, they are often simplified to a single word. Examples include Flying, Madness, and Protection.
Filters cards based on their effect on the game, at a high level. "Bounce," for example, means that the card returns a permanent to its owner's hand, and "Cost-Reduction" means that spells will cost less with it in play. See a full list of descriptions
Filters cards based on the card's official card text (called the oracle). Use to find specific phrases or words.
Filters cards based on their ingame color. Devoid alters this, as do color indicators. Use this to find color-based synergy (or cards that Ancient Stirrings can find, for example).
Filters cards based on their color identity, which is used in Commander to determine what is eligible in a given deck. It is based on the mana symbols found in the mana cost and in the text box, and the color indicator.
Filters cards based on whether they were ever printed in the provided set.
